A cozy taproom in Elmhurst’s residential area. A warm atmosphere where local families and young couples gather. Always stocking 10+ beers, the breadth of styles is impressive.

The Hazy IPA is rich with juicy tropical fruit aromas. The Schwarzbier offers an exquisite combination of roasted malt chocolate and coffee flavors with lager’s clean finish. Comparing two completely different styles really drives home the diversity of craft beer.

I was impressed by the stylistic range — being able to enjoy both Hazy IPA and Schwarzbier. The Schwarzbier in particular offered a flavor profile rarely encountered in Japan.

Comparing Hazy and Schwarzbier side by side is such a fun experience! Hazy uses ale fermentation for tropical notes, while Schwarz uses lager fermentation for clean and roasty character. Different fermentation methods create completely different flavors!
