About Dru Bru
Dru Bru is a Washington State craft brewery built on the “Mountain Made” concept. What makes them unique is their two-location setup: a taproom at The Summit at Snoqualmie ski resort, with the actual brewery down in Cle Elum. Specializing in clean German-style lagers, the Cle Elum location features 20 taps spanning Pilsners, Kolsch, Weizen, and modern IPAs.

Taproom Atmosphere
The ski resort taproom is an open, mountainous space. It buzzes with skiers and snowboarders dropping in after runs. The Cle Elum brewery taproom, meanwhile, has a more local and relaxed vibe. Both are perfect for a stop on your travels.

I had their Kölsch, and the quality exceeded all expectations.

Flavor Profile
From the very first sip, biscuity malt character raced through my senses, layered with complex yeast esters from fermentation. This wasn’t just a “goes down easy” Kölsch — the flavor was so rich you’d want to savor every drop.
Kölsch is a style originating from Cologne, Germany, with characteristics between ale and lager. It uses ale yeast at lower temperatures while finishing as clean as a lager — a unique process. Dru Bru’s Kölsch respects the style’s framework while showing real individuality!
I walked in expecting a “tourist pit stop taproom” and was blown away by the beer quality. Those moments when a detour becomes the best experience — that’s what this was! Next time I’m trying all their lagers.
