Green Cheek Beer Co.’s Oceanside location makes full use of the former Bagby Beer Company building, offering an expansive space. With a front bar counter, back bar, and spacious outdoor patio, you can enjoy beers with ocean views on sunny days. Regular events like the weekly Tuesday night Sunset Trivia Night add to the experience.

With 15-20 taps running at all times, the selection spans from West Coast IPAs to lagers and stouts. Centered on the hoppy beers that are Green Cheek’s hallmark, the lineup also features Jeff Bagby’s specialty Baltic Porters and various lagers. Guest beers from renowned breweries like Russian River and Great Notion occasionally make appearances.

The highlight of this visit was “West Coast IPA is Dead 2025,” a provocatively named West Coast IPA. While many say “West Coast IPA is dead,” this beer exists as a powerful counterargument to that claim.

I truly love this brewery. The designs are so adorable… I wanted to bring back canned beers, but I passed since I was trying to save on checked baggage fees. In Japan, Yamato delivery services are everywhere, making it easy to ship refrigerated souvenirs. I hope to find a similar solution in the US someday.
