Craft Beer Review

Appearance

Yellowish haze.

Aroma

Orthonasal Aroma

Earthy. Galaxy-like cold peach hops, Amarillo sweet apricot. Just before sipping, a sweet yokan-like impression.

Retronasal Flavor

Like yokan blending malt sweetness with hop fruit – nothing harsh. Zero earthy or astringent quality from hop overuse; very clean. A slightly spicy, crisp wheat-like aroma lingers dryly.

Taste

Mouthfeel

Gently spicy wheat-derived impression. Slides in smoothly.

Body and Texture

Extremely gentle mouthfeel like water. A comfortable balance of water and grain carried gently by carbonation. Nothing unpleasant. Holding on the tongue reveals an acidity-like impression on the palate.

The Swallow

Zero dank impression. Falls naturally down the throat like water with a trace of acidity. Strange given the name includes “dank.” Maybe it was different when cold, but at the time of writing this review, there was no dankness at all.冷たいときも ダンクというより小麦で優しくなっているという印象が強かった。Not really dank enough to have that stimulating mouthfeel.Perhaps because some time has passed。

Aftertaste

Marmalade-like orange citrus lingers persistently.

Bottom of the Glass

Strong wheat impression, overall slick and smooth. Better served separately.

Overall Impression

Best enjoyed cold in big gulps. The impression changes dramatically as it warms, becoming underwhelming.
