Characteristics

イノベーティブなビール造りに挑戦することをテーマに、「舗装された道路」ではなく「道なき道」を突き進むイメージから命名したブランド「Off Trail（オフトレイル）」
第17作目は、小菅村で収穫された150kgのブルーベリーを使用した、 樽熟成サワーレッドエールです。
まずは最高の樽熟成サワーレッドエールを選定・ブレンドして複雑なベースビールを作り、次に150kgのブルーベリーを追加しました。 オレゴンフルーツピューレと、小菅村で収穫されたオーガニック・ブルーベリーです。 樽熟成の残りの酵母と新鮮な果物の野生酵母は、フルーツタンクで4週間にわたって優勢を争いました。
Aromaは力強いブルーベリーのAromaとともにほのかにチェリーパイのよう。 口に含むと、ブルーベリー、ストロベリー、レッドカラント、ラズベリー、ブラッドチェリーなどのフルーツのAromaが口いっぱいに広がります。 果実味が少し落ち着いてくると、複雑な酸味と何層にも感じられるファンキーなTasteが押し寄せてきます。
Aftertasteは軽くドライな仕上がりで、パチパチと弾けるような泡立ちがお楽しみいただけます。

Appearance

やや透明感のあるルビー。ワインと言うには澄んでいて、黒っぽい。

Aroma

Aroma (Orthonasal)

熟れていないチェリーのような酸味。冷たさがシャーベット感を連想する。

Flavor (Retronasal)

グレープフルーツ、レモン、終わりはスダチのような爽快な柑橘。気になるほどではないが、ゴクゴク飲むと、雑誌の付録に付いてくるプラスチック系のおまけにあるような安っぽいプラスチックのような印象がややある？ややダイアセチル？気になるほどではない。許容範囲。

Taste

Mouthfeel

優しいMouthfeelにじわじわとスパイシーな感触、★自然に繋がるホップの苦み、酵母の酸味★全てが自然で恐ろしい。

Body and Texture

スパイシーさ故か？ややスイカにかけた塩のようなニュアンスを含んだ酸味が小麦と共に押し寄せる。舌の上で転がすとかなりブルーベリーの皮のようなニュアンスを楽しめる。舌の上でジューシーな皮をザラザラとこすりつけているよう。

The Swallow

一瞬喉に幸せな果実感。キウイのような酸味が広がった後はドライ。

Aftertaste

水のようにドライ。すっと飲み込んで落ちていく、梅のようなサッパリとした酸味を感じる。しそのような。しそを載せたご飯に醤油をかけた後のような爽やかさ。最後に残る男梅雨のような酸っぱさ。

Overall Impression

塩味がほどよいうまうまサワーでした。塩をかけたスイカのような印象をうけつつも、のど越し以降はとてもドライで、アイスや食事に合わせやすいだろうなと思いました。本当に美味しかったです。Far Yeast Off Trail / #17 Blueberry Bridge (Barrel Aged Sour 7%)レビュー記事でした！

Dregs

男梅雨の濃いヤツのAroma。強烈なDregs感。ホップの辛さが強い。同時に酵母の酸味。エステルが全く邪魔をせず、美しいAromaで閉じているのがすごい。わけたほうがいい。アイスにかけてもいい。
