About This Beer

Characteristics

やさしさや温もりを求める時代に、「飲食店で愛され続けた、まろやかなうまみ」をコンセプトに『アサヒ生ビール』を“Heart-warming Beer”としてよみがえらせ、9月14日に通年販売の缶商品として28年ぶりに復活させます。通年発売のビールとしては３年ぶりの新商品です。中味は従来のまま、パッケージを大きく変え、飲食店と連動したプロモーションを展開。アルコール商品初出演の新垣結衣さんのTVCMでも、「ぬくもり」「やさしさ」「居心地のよさ」といった世界観をお伝えしていきます。

Appearance

Clear. Slightly yellow-green tint?

Aroma

Aroma (Orthonasal)

Noble hop character.

Flavor (Retronasal)

Sweet floral nectar aroma, mint. Lemon drop.

Taste

Mouthfeel

Strong carbonation — typical of a major brewery product.

Body and Texture

Hop presence dominates over malt. Though more acidity than hops? Strong oxidation-derived sourness. As the temperature rises on the tongue, malt sweetness emerges too. Combined with the acidity, it creates a lemon drop character. Not bad, actually. Could the oxidation be intentional?

The Swallow

A fizzy lemon-like, minty flavor spreads through the mouth. Refreshing without being cloying. Biscuit-like malt flavor and grain notes linger lightly in the mouth.

Aftertaste

Dry. Crisp. Fades cleanly, leaving soft acidity.

Overall Impression

Strong acidity perhaps due to oxidation, but overall not bad. Not as extremely dry as Super Dry — gentler. Tasty. The biscuit-like aftertaste lets you appreciate the malt, which is comforting.
