Able Baker Brewing (Las Vegas, NV) | WBC Gold Medal American Lager – Vegas Is a Lager City

Hi there! I’m Riho, a craft beer enthusiast. During my August 2025 Las Vegas beer trip, I visited Able Baker Brewing. After yesterday’s malty Czech Pilsner at Crafthaus Brewery, this was the polar opposite – an American Lager, and a World Beer Cup (WBC) gold medal winner at that!

About Able Baker Brewing

Able Baker Brewing is one of Las Vegas’ premier craft breweries, having won gold at the World Beer Cup (WBC) in the American Lager category. Given Las Vegas’ desert climate, the pairing with crisp, dry lagers is perfect. The fact that both this brewery and Crafthaus Brewery won WBC gold for completely different lager styles in the same city proved to me that Las Vegas truly is “a city where lager is outstanding.”

Atmosphere

The taproom is a spacious, relaxed space with an extensive food menu. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, which was absolutely incredible! The beer pairing was perfect. They offer tasting flights in sets of three – I chose the “Brewer’s Choice” selection.

Yesterday’s malty Czech Pilsner at Crafthaus and today’s dry American Lager at Able Baker – two WBC gold medal lagers with completely different approaches existing in the same city is remarkable! It truly confirmed that Las Vegas is “a city where lager is outstanding.”
