Appearance
Clear. Golden, with perfect visibility through to the other side.

Aroma
Strong berry aroma from Strata. Strawberry and frozen orange.
As it warms, marmalade emerges.

Aroma (Retronasal)
Slightly oxidized? Metallic notes and a tobacco-like grassiness. Licorice quality.

Mouthfeel
Natural and beer-like. Slightly watery in a pleasant way. Low carbonation, refreshing. A mouthfeel that invites big gulps.

Body & Texture
A sharp bitterness arrives immediately upon hitting the tongue. However, the bitterness intensity isn’t actually that strong, making it a pleasant, quaffable bitterness. On the tongue: berry, licorice, tobacco-like grass. You can appreciate the complex hop bitterness. The licorice quality is pronounced.

The Swallow
Slightly dank. Somewhat medicinal. Dry. Refreshing.

Aftertaste
The aftertaste doesn’t linger. Perhaps a hint of tobacco and medicinal notes mixed with marmalade? Tobacco-like. Very good.

Overall Impression
This will divide opinions, but I personally love it. I detected some oxidation, but it’s still a delicious, easy-drinking WCIPA. Really tasty.

Off-Flavors
Oxidized metallic quality.

Bottom of Glass
Not spicy or astringent, but extremely medicinal. Not tasty. Best poured separately.
