Appearance
Whitish haze

Aroma (Orthonasal)
Probably much stronger when fresh, but peach. Slightly solvent-like.

Flavor (Retronasal)
Refreshing citrus peel.

Mouthfeel
Gentle but not calculated. No sense of oat overuse at all. In fact, maybe they didn’t use any? Though it still feels surprisingly gentle for that.

Body & Texture
There’s a void here. If this were fresh, hops would fill that space. The following malt character combines with hop bitterness to create a beautifully clean bitter chocolate. On the tongue: bitter chocolate. After that: still bitter chocolate. This is the first time I’ve tasted chocolate in a hazy, but the malt asserts itself remarkably cleanly. Maybe a hint of coffee? Cocoa might be closer. Bitter, chocolate-like. *Not sweet at all* *Despite being quite dry, a bitter chocolate aftertaste lingers in the mouth for a long time*

The Swallow
Didn’t notice in the first half, but some spiciness becomes noticeable. This heat might just be inherent rather than from aging. Due to temperature stress, there’s no fruity explosion. But there’s a quiet, canned-peach-like expansion.

Aftertaste
Bitter chocolate

Overall Impression
A grown-up Hazy. The malt asserts itself expertly despite having no sweetness. None of that typical feeling when drinking a hazy: “This was probably good when fresh…” Instead, it’s “This was probably even better fresh, but it’s already incredible!”

Off-Flavors
Slightly solvent-like?

At the Bottom
No heat or astringency. This level of cleanliness at the bottom is remarkable. Bitterness is maybe slightly strong. I want to pour this over ice cream. Or pudding.
