Brewing Philosophy

Yorocco Beerは、地元の水とイギリス産・ドイツ産の麦芽、アメリカ産ホップを使用し、地域の果物やスパイスも取り入れた多彩なレシピでビールを醸造しています。酵母が生きている熱処理やろ過処理を行わないビールがCharacteristicsです。また、「Drink Local」のコンセプトを掲げ、地元のイベントに積極的に参加し、ラベルデザインも地元アーティストに依頼するなど、地域密着型のクラフトビール文化を育んでいます。

クラフトBeer Review

Yorocco Beerは、多彩なスタイルとフレーバーで知られています。例えば、Peninsula Saisonは爽快で華やかなセゾンスタイルで、Amber Saved My Lifeは香ばしいアンバーセゾンです。Bright Momentsは南ドイツ風のヘレスラガーで、軽やかで飲みやすいのがCharacteristicsです。また、Dry Hop Farmhouse Aleは独特のホップアロマとバランスの取れたTasteが楽しめます。

Characteristics

This is from Yorocco’s barrel-aged series. It was aged for 11 months in wine barrels.

From the brewery:

HISTORY

2020.12.18 Brewed

2020.2.24 Transferred to wooden barrel (red wine barrel). Brettanomyces (wild yeast) added.

2022.1.20 Transferred from wooden barrel to stainless steel tank. Jasmine added for infusion.

2022.1.31 Bottling. Followed by bottle conditioning and maturation.

Note: The wooden barrel used for aging was obtained from Okunota Winery in Yamanashi Prefecture.

TASTING NOTES

明るめの黒色の外観。熟したフルーツのようなAroma。ジャスミンのAroma。黒ビールのカカオやコーヒー的なモルト感。
野生酵母による心地よいファンキーさ。軽い酸とタンニンが合わさり、Aftertasteを締める。夏の夕方に涼しい風を浴びながら飲みたい一杯。肉料理や、八角を効かせた中華料理などと合いそうな印象。

Appearance

Semi-transparent black

Aroma

Aroma (Orthonasal)

紅茶、ジャスミン系のAroma。加えて、ホップの柑橘、それを支えるようなアルコール。やや梅のような磯のような酸味。ランビック系の酸味。★全ての主張が優しい★優しくバランスを保っている。
勢い良く飲むとマーマレードのような印象もある。ホップ。

Flavor (Retronasal)

Black tea-like impression with an elegant, refined tobacco-like quality.

Taste

Mouthfeel

Natural beer-like quality. Goes down smoothly.

Body and Texture

タバコのような感じに、★やや焦げた茶葉のような★上品な焦げが乗る。モルトもしっかりついてあるが、クッキー系を更に焦がした。キャラメルになる前のような印象。
程よい草っぽさとジャスミン系のTasteの相性がとてもいい。やや醤油のような印象もあるが気にならない。

The Swallow

Falls naturally down the throat. Never tiring to drink.

Aftertaste

ジャスミン系のAromaが長く残る。アルコール感と相まって、すごく高貴な印象がある。優しいケーキやチョコレートに合いそう。

Overall Impression

The low ABV makes it very easy to drink overall. Perhaps due to the aging, I detected lambic-like flavors. There is no harshness from acidity whatsoever – it goes down effortlessly. Sediment/Bottom

ヌルッとした液体を飲んでいるような感覚。炭のような、濃い何かがある。特に美味しくは無い。Sediment/Bottomにしては薄いなぁという印象。
