Blue Moon Belgian White Ale – Draft Experience at hopping in Chitosefunabashi

I enjoyed a Blue Moon on draft at craft beer bar hopping in Chitosefunabashi (Chitose-Funabashi). This Belgian White Ale features orange peel and coriander, and I discovered a freshness from the tap completely different from the bottle!

What Is Blue Moon – The Quintessential Belgian White Ale

Blue Moon is one of the most iconic Belgian White Ales, brewed by Molson Coors in the United States. Developed in 1995 by Keith Villa at the Sandlot Brewery in Coors Field, Denver, Colorado. Faithful to the traditional Belgian White Ale style, it features a cloudy white appearance with wheat as the primary grain.

Belgian White Ale (Witbier) originates from Belgium, made with ~50% wheat for a light, refreshing character. Its cloudy white appearance comes from being unfiltered. Orange peel and coriander spices are commonly used, giving citrusy aromas and a light mouthfeel. Very approachable for beginners and especially popular in summer.

I usually drink Blue Moon from the bottle, but the draft pour at hopping was an entirely different experience. Richer foam, more vibrant aroma. I fully appreciated the freshness only draft can deliver.

千歳船橋のhoppingで飲んだタップのブルームーンは、ボトルとは全く違った新鮮な美味しさを体験できました。特にFoamとAromaの違いは印象的で、Draft Beerならではの魅力を再発見できました。
