Appearance

Hazy gold. Looks like a proper golden ale.

Aroma

Orthonasal Aroma

Blue-green and grassy. A chicle-like aroma with a fresh green quality similar to Pizza Port or Baeren Lager – hop-derived. More toward the Pizza Port end, like spent gum or mint with strong green freshness. Behind the lawn-like grassiness lurks a sweet bubblegum impression. Somewhat American in character.

Retronasal Flavor

Strong chicle with a slightly slick quality. Juiciness like watermelon rind, cucumber notes, and slight mizuna-like astringency add accent. Dry with fleeting aromas – exactly what drives you to the next sip. Rolling it in the mouth reveals sweet cookie-like aromas.

Taste

Mouthfeel

Gently soft. Strong sweet impression – brown sugar perhaps? No burnt character at all, yet a toasty warmth comes through. Impressive.

Body and Texture

Contrasting the weight from brown sugar-like toastiness, the liquid is clear as water. Smooth. Rolling on the palate reveals slight acidity.

The Swallow

A hint of dankness pushes you to gulp it down. Incredibly pleasant. A tobacco-like impression passes through the nose, lending a resinous, smoky, bitter quality – not melon but more cannabis-adjacent – making it feel even danker.

Aftertaste

Dry. But grapefruit peel-like hop impression remains underneath. Clean finish that leaves pleasant memories in the mouth, making it impossible to stop reaching for the next sip. Incredibly delicious.

Bottom of the Glass

Slightly slick with intensified smokiness. Mixed with fruity hop character, it’s like smoked fresh orange. Individually tasty elements that desperately don’t work together.

Overall Impression

A dangerously drinkable beer that keeps you reaching for the next sip. A beer you need a full pint to appreciate. Genuinely delicious! Not biased because it was a gift – it was honestly great!
