Appearance

Yellow. Slightly skin-tone when light shines through.

Aroma

Aroma (Orthonasal)

The signature Uchu aroma. A harmonious blend of yeast esters, alcohol, and hops. First gentle sniff: white grape with a hint of grape skin. Deeper inhale: soft peach followed by pineapple — likely yeast-derived。そのあとに宇宙味。この味は桃味の綿菓子のような甘さに近いと思う。宇宙味。

Flavor (Retronasal)

The cool menthol-like character typical of NZ hops. Followed by a chewing gum-like sweetness.

Taste

Mouthfeel

Gentle at first, but a subtle (this is key) non-persistent prickling heat gradually builds. You can see how this leads to dank character. Excitement builds. NZ-style impression.

Body and Texture

The body is thick. Slightly spicy like French rye bread. When swirling in the mouth, incredible NZ-style flavor. Not white grape, not red wine — in a word, raisin-like spreading across the palate. This blends with alルコールとまじりあって、響（ジャパニーズウイスキー）にあるような干し柿のような印象にもなる。The Swallowにややある紹興酒のような少し重いAlcoholの印象にモルト、ホップの厚みが少しも遅れていない。Monkishのようなビターチョコとは違うフレッシュホップのTasteを全力で出している。

The Swallow

Clean. Falls into dank territory. A satisfying finish. Beautiful. Ends with a gulp.

Aftertaste

Grapefruit-like citrus flavor lingers slowly without being harsh. Very nice. The blend of citrus and lactose at the moment of swallowing reminds me of orange. Very nice.

Dregs

A beautiful flavor where Citra-like citrus and ripe orange blend with alcohol. I even sense sake-like nuances. Not spicy at all. The aftertaste carries vanilla-like, Yubari melon-like sweet impressions. Absolutely delicious.

Overall Impression

I had been putting Uchu off, thinking ‘it always tastes the same,’ but drinking one after a long break — it was incredibly delicious! The spice character suggests it would pair well with Japanese dishes that go with wasabi, and even with beef tongue that benefits from a touch of wasabi!
