After posting the top photo, a “this isn’t quite right” feeling started creeping in, so I’m reposting. Sorry about that. I was drinking with a friend, and we thought “it’d look cool if we lit it from below with an iPhone flashlight!” — a drunk idea. It does look cool, but for Instagram it just felt off! Ha.

I never kept brewery records during my Hokkaido (北海道) trip, so I’m starting now — better late than never! The brewery itself is in Furano (富良野), but the taproom is in Sapporo (札幌) with excellent access. The brewer’s notes were incredibly thorough and fun to read on their own.

The actual brewery is in a separate location. It’s quite far!

This is the taproom. The brewer’s notes are lengthy and brimming with passion.

The taproom looks like it has such a wonderful atmosphere! Beer lovers should definitely give it a visit!

The asparagus tempura was incredibly delicious! Made with Hokkaido-grown asparagus!

I used to go every time they had a tap takeover at IBREW Akihabara. I’d love to go again. The food menu is extensive, and I remember the asparagus tempura being really delicious!

By the way… the taproom of North Island, the brewer’s former brewery, is also right nearby. I visited both. I sometimes wonder if Brasserie Knot will ever open a taproom too… that would be wonderful.
