This is a collaboration beer with Riip Beer and Yakima Chief Hops.

Availability Period

It arrived in stock in early October.

Beer Review

Appearance

Clear

Aroma

Orthonasal Aroma

Strong green vegetable-like aromas? Plus a gourd-like impression. Ripe melon from Citra hops.

Retronasal Flavor

There’s a faint peach-like nuance. The expressiveness is quite limited and restrained. I think this is because the carbonation is subdued. Deliberately keeping the carbonation low is an interesting approach. (Though personally, it leaves me wanting a bit more.)

Taste

Mouthfeel

The low carbonation gives it a very gentle feel. There’s a cucumber-like impression.

Body and Texture

The malt is quite restrained, but the foundation is solid. There’s a strong hop-derived acidity. Once in the mouth, the hop bitterness builds gradually little by little, never becoming overpowering. It intensifies slightly just at the moment of swallowing. When gulped down, you get strong citrus candy flavors and a chicle-like quality reminiscent of flavor-spent gum.

The Swallow

Slightly dank. Grassy notes like cucumber and watermelon rind.

Aftertaste

Refreshing. Nothing lingers aggressively.

Overall Impression

This is a true chugger. It goes down as smoothly as water despite being 7%. That drinkability is impressive.

Sediment

Intense menthol/medicinal patch sensation. Strong acidity too. Delicious. Would work well mixed in. Goes down easily.
