Hi, I’m Riho! サンディエゴ旅行のブルワリー巡り、まだまだ続きます。Green Cheekの投稿でラストと言っていたのですが、実はあと2件残っていました笑。今回ご紹介するのは、Green Cheekから徒歩10分ほどのところにある Craft Coast Beer & Brewing（クラフトコースト）。コロナ禍の2020年創業ながら、すでにGABF（グレートアメリカンビアフェスティバル）で複数のメダルを獲得している実力派ブルワリーです。今回はGABF2025でSilverを獲ったというエストラ（Estra）Pale Aleを目当てに訪問しました！

Access & Getting Around Oceanside

Craft Coast Beer & Brewing is located on Mission Avenue in Oceanside. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Green Cheek Beer Co., making them a perfect pair for brewery hopping.

However, getting around Oceanside requires some planning. I tried taking the train to Pizza Port afterward but missed it because I couldn’t find the platform. Ended up taking the bus, which took about an hour one way. The train would be much faster if you know the system, but there are pitfalls for the unfamiliar!

Venue & Atmosphere

Craft Coast combines craft beer with Baja-style tacos, fitting perfectly into Oceanside’s casual beach town vibe. With 15+ house-brewed taps always flowing—spanning lagers, pale ales, IPAs, and stouts—the variety rivals even NorCal breweries, with new discoveries on every visit.

The founders are three childhood friends from North County San Diego: Blake Meissner, Brian Gillen, and Lars Erickson. Blake brought brewing experience from Pizza Port, launching into the craft beer world in Oceanside in August 2020. Despite the harsh pandemic conditions, their quality earned them a solid local following.

From the very first sip, I knew: “This is it!” Silky smooth mouthfeel with no excessive hop bitterness—incredibly drinkable. The aroma is fresh and fruity, and before I knew it, my glass was empty. Excellent malt balance makes it perfect for both beer enthusiasts and newcomers.

Tips for Brewery Hopping in Oceanside, San Diego

For a San Diego brewery crawl, Oceanside is a must-visit area. Just be mindful of transportation within the area.

I recommend hitting the walkable Mission Avenue breweries first, then taking the train or bus to farther spots. Oceanside also has great beach sightseeing, so give yourself a relaxed schedule combining both.
